Autumn’s Golden Embrace

June 15, 2019 – Hazel Tobo

Remember days when mornings felt like gifts,

Sunrise painting skies in hues of gold.

We cherished the fire in the wind

Danced with the wind’s playful riffs,

We felt the joy in the rain and never let puddles go without a dance.

Enjoyed the many stories told the magnitude of sand particles.

We played till time stood still, worries fled,

Our hearts aflame, our spirits wild and free.

No yearning, just the present moment’s breath,

Life’s fullest bloom, a sweet reality.

Trees were younger then, and we were wild,

Hungry for learning and unstoppable, our futures bright.

We forged our paths, untamed and undefiled,

A youthful energy, a guiding light.
