The plant leaves are also beneficial for your health; rosemary is from the mint family and has been used in traditional medicine for centuries.

The plant is a nervous and circulatory stimulant which has the ability to aid a number of ailments and can be taken as a tea, syrup or used externally as essential oil. Rosemary makes a great remedy for headaches and migraines; this is because it has strong anti-inflammatory and pain relieving properties. The herb is known to have been used for hundreds of years as a painkiller and a circulatory improvement medicine.  The best way to use this plant as a pain and inflammatory reliever is as an essential oil; a few drops of Rosemary oil may be mixed with a carrier oil of your choice, although we would recommend coconut oil. The mixture can be applied to the affected area, or you may add the oils to your bath tub and soak in it.  

GASTROINTESTINAL AILMENTS

Rosemary increases the flow of digestive juices and bile this makes it good as a circulatory and nervous stimulant. This makes it one the best herbs to take when you are feeling bloated or going through abdominal pains, colic and indigestion. The herb can be taken as a tincture/tea, simply pick some fresh leaves from your garden and prepare boiled water, add a little branch of rosemary to your boiled water and steep for 2-3 minutes, add honey to sweeten the deal and drink up.
